Job Summary
Perform daily animal husbandry for cats, dogs, and rodents while executing technical aspects of study protocols, sample collection, and data collection. Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure all animal facilities are in inspection-ready state through rigorous cleaning and disinfection. Provide training on animal activities and assist clinical veterinarians with all aspects of veterinary care. Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with departmental SOPs, Institutional Policies, and GXP standards. Work weekends and holidays on rotation in a full-time capacity at the Kalamazoo, MI site.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3 years related experience
- education combined with high school diploma and 3 years related experience
- valid veterinary technician license
- valid veterinary technician certification
- Experience in working with animals
