Job Summary

The Technical Specialist Video is responsible for setting up and operating small to large-scale audiovisual systems for live events, and for leading onsite departmental teams. Key duties include designing and implementing video systems in collaboration with Project Management/Producer teams to meet event briefs, assisting labor teams with staffing, adding video components to technical drawings in Vectorworks, ensuring consistency of plans and delivery documentation, pre-production for media server/switching workflows, operating advanced switching/projection equipment (Barco E2/S3, Christie, Panasonic), designing multi-screen LED displays, delegating tasks to ensure timely delivery, troubleshooting issues, ensuring health and safety compliance, reporting health and safety concerns, securing equipment, delivering world-class customer service, maintaining client relationships, training and mentoring staff, supervising technicians during events, and overseeing equipment maintenance and inventory. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 4+ years of field experience is required, with 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred. The role is on-site with London, UK responsibilities, and reports to a Technical Manager, Senior Project Manager or Technical Events Manager depending on function and region.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred
  • 4+ years of field experience in specialty area is required
  • 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
