Job Summary
Provide reliable IT infrastructure support to stakeholder teams to ensure business unit uptime. Install, configure, and deploy new systems, software, products, and enhancements across the enterprise. Maintain and manage the lifecycle of hardware and software, including network and Wi-Fi support, maintenance, and installation. Liaise with suppliers for prompt recovery of major incidents or emergencies. Travel approximately once a month to support other OSB divisions and may be required for part of the on-call rotation. This role supports Tolko's OSB mills in Slave Lake and High Prairie, contributing to the modernization of forest product production.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience working in Systems Administrative role with a background in use of proven technology
- Experience with cloud-based operations (MS Azure or Amazon AWS)
- Certifications in or demonstrable experience of Microsoft technologies; Windows Server & Desktop, Active Directory, Azure, Virtualization, RDS, Rockwell Factory Talk, Scripting, Monitoring, Disaster Recovery etc
- Knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, servers, storage, mobile phones, tablets and network devices
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
- Infrastructure support experience with mission critical networks and servers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the forestry industry considered an asset
- Travel approximately once a month to support other OSB divisions
- Could be part of the on-call rotation
