Job Summary
Technical Specialist: SRH Program lead providing high-level technical leadership and implementation support to AFHP and MHMS to improve SRH outcomes in Fiji; drive rights-based, GEDSI-inclusive SRH services aligned with national health plans; strengthen SRH service delivery standards, guidelines, and quality improvement; support capacity-building, gender-sensitive and survivor-centred approaches; contribute to HIV outbreak management and integration of SRH into primary health care; work with government and development partners to strengthen health systems and supply chains; ensure inclusive services for women, adolescents, LGBTQIA+ populations, persons with disabilities, and rural communities; lead strategic advice on SRH priorities, policy frameworks, and MERL indicators; collaborate with partners to co-design SRH interventions and ensure local leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications in Sexual and Reproductive health, nursing, medicine or a field related to the responsibilities of the role
- Experience of supporting SRH through health systems strengthening highly desirable
- Minimum 10 years of progressively more responsible roles in SRH program management or technical advisory roles
- Strong experience working with health systems in LMICs or Pacific settings, particularly in SRH and primary health care
- Demonstrated experience mainstreaming gender, disability, and social inclusion into health programs
- Proven experience working with government health systems, development partners, and civil society
- Expertise in SRH service design, implementation, quality improvement, and policy development
- Strong skills in GEDSI integration, including rights-based, intersectional, and survivor-centred approaches
- Excellent report writing, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyse health system data and apply it to program design and quality improvement
- Commitment to gender equality, disability inclusion, and human rights
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- High personal integrity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully in diverse teams
