Job Summary
Technical Specialist to lead Battery State Estimation for high-voltage battery systems. Responsible for developing state-of-charge, state-of-health, and state-of-power estimation, diagnostics, and related battery analytics; shaping scalable, hardware-agnostic approaches; building data pipelines and virtual validation workflows; delivering production-ready embedded software and dashboards; collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable software-defined vehicle architectures. Role requires hybrid work with on-site presence in Milford, MI at least 3 times weekly; strong software, data analytics, and battery-domain expertise; ability to drive diagnostics, validation, and scalable engineering solutions across multiple battery chemistries; and mentorship of engineers in the Battery State Estimation domain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Controls, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years in embedded controls software, battery management systems, high-voltage battery systems, advanced state-estimation development, or battery analytics.
- Strong proficiency in C or C++ for embedded software development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical problem solving across development, validation, vehicle integration, and data-analysis environments.
