Job Summary
Design various aspects of MTA systems and infrastructure projects while performing technical and feasibility studies that analyze historical data, surveys, and as-builts. Review designs and conduct tests of equipment, software, and materials, then perform technical calculations. Conduct site visits to identify existing conditions and project design risks, providing field support for system installation and construction. Embrace mentoring from senior staff and adhere to corporate quality control standards. This role spans all project lifecycle phases including planning, scheduling, analysis, and reporting. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical discipline and five years of related experience. The position offers a salary range of $84,211 to $105,264 with eligibility for one day of telework per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate technical discipline, Engineering Technology/Engineering Science, or an equivalent subject
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Knowledge of the capital design and construction process
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and installation practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in current design and engineering software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work outside of normal work hours (i.e., evenings and weekends)
- Must be available for travel to other MTA locations or other external sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience visiting the field for initial scope/survey and construction oversight
