Job Summary
Lead a dedicated sourcing team of five across EMEA, driving sourcing execution excellence for technical projects and recurring spend initiatives supporting Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics sectors. Own the full sourcing lifecycle from strategy development and supplier qualification through negotiation, contract management, and performance oversight for architecture, engineering, construction, laboratory equipment, site services, gases, and consumables. Act as the critical link between internal stakeholders and the external supply base, translating business needs into category strategies that deliver measurable value through cost savings, risk reduction, and quality improvement. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture while maintaining close proximity to key stakeholders with up to 25% travel within EMEA.
Required Qualifications
- degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
- at least 10 years of procurement or engineering experience in a multinational environment
- proven track record of leading sourcing teams within a complex, matrixed organisation
- demonstrated accountability for team performance, development, and results
- experience in strategic sourcing methodologies, including supplier qualification, competitive bidding, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management
- solid project management skills
- ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives across cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
- ability to balance competing priorities with a structured and reliable approach
- ability to communicate with confidence and clarity across all levels of an organisation
- strong intercultural awareness
- ability to align diverse stakeholder interests in a global environment
- fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
