Job Summary
Technical Solutions Manager role within ABEC’s growing sales team focused on converting client requirements into detailed, specification-compliant quotations for BMS/PMS projects, maintenance/remote services, special projects, energy contracts, and smart buildings. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings/specs and client docs, building and managing quotes with inclusions/exclusions, producing budgeted exclusions, supporting Account Managers technically, creating RFIs, presenting quotations from both technical and operational perspectives, tracking changes, and delivering value-engineered ideas to enhance ABEC’s competitive edge. Requires at least 5 years as a BMS technician or project manager, and at least 2 years as a BMS estimator for NEW BUILD BMS projects, with accreditation in a minimum of two systems. Building relationships with clients and providing technical assistance to operations throughout pre-construction and proposal stages, while ensuring 100% conformance to specifications and a robust bid process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a BMS Technician or Project Manager
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a BMS Estimator quoting NEW BUILD BMS PROJECTS
- Accreditation in at least 2 systems
- Ability to review drawings, specifications and Client Requirements Docs
- Ability to create specification compliant quotations and proposals
- Experience creating bid documents and RFI management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple quotations simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Customer-focused with ability to gain client trust
- Experience in IoT technology, IT and Networking related to BMS/PMS
