Job Summary
Resolve customer concerns raised during installation, operation, and maintenance of Arista products by investigating complex hardware and software network issues. Collaborate with sales, account teams, and development groups to diagnose problems, communicate findings across technical contexts, and provide post-call summaries detailing root causes and next steps. Document recurring technical issues to support product quality and development initiatives while balancing communications needs for each case. This role requires a strong analytical mind, aptitude for learning new features, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must demonstrate comfort with Linux, networking protocols, and troubleshooting tools like tcpdump and Wireshark. The position offers a base pay range of CAD 85,000 to 150,000 and includes eligibility for discretionary bonuses and equity.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot complex and dynamic Hyperscaler customer environments, including networks built to support AI and accelerated computing workloads

- Working knowledge of networking industry, products, and protocols
- Experience with troubleshooting tools such tcpdump, and Wireshark (or similar packet generation and analysis tools)

- Familiarity with shell scripting, python, gNMI/gRPC or Ansible
- Familiarity with troubleshooting high-speed network connections (400G/800G), familiarity with OSFP/QSFP/LPO optics and link diagnostics like PRBS
- Minimum education preferred is a BS in a technical field (Network focused preferred)
- Industry certifications
- Customer facing experience or prior TAC experience
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge or experience with data centers powering Artificial Intelligence
- Preferred minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience and a combination of the following; designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and administering the following network protocols and technologies: L1 and L2 Technologies including: Auto-negotiation including FEC, L1 debugging, VLAN, LACP, LLDP, STP/RSTP/MST, MACSec
- L3 Technologies ARP, Core Routing (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), IPV4 & IPv6, MPLS, LDP, DHCP, VARP/VRRP, VRF, ICMP, ECMP
- System Administration AAA/TACACS, SNMP, Sflow, ACL
- Cloud and AI Technologies Including: QoS, FlowControl, PFC, Packet Forwarding and Buffering, Shaping and Policing
- Open source network operating system especially SONiC
- A strong comfort level with Linux
- Familiarity with shell scripting, python, gNMI/gRPC or Ansible
- Troubleshooting high-speed network connections (400G/800G), familiarity with OSFP/QSFP/LPO optics and link diagnostics like PRBS
- Minimum education preferred is a BS in a technical field (Network focused preferred)
