Job Summary
Manage and maintain the site Quality Management System, leading internal audit programmes and driving closure of non-conformances. Own customer complaints, investigations, and responses while supporting third-party audits and visits. Conduct gap analyses against customer requirements and industry standards, chair cross-functional meetings, and manage specification and document control systems. Provide technical support to production teams for quality and raw material issues, review laboratory testing results, and play an active role within site HACCP and TACCP teams. Support new product development projects from a food safety and technical perspective while promoting a strong food safety, quality, and health & safety culture throughout the site.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Experience working within a Technical, QA or Food Safety function
- Knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP and quality management systems
- Experience managing audits, non-conformances and customer requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across all levels of the business
Desired Qualifications
- HND or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
- HACCP qualification
- Experience supporting customer audits and retailer requirements
- Knowledge of UK food legislation and industry standards
