Job Summary
Interns at Fairbanks Morse Defense will engage in impactful work such as completing Technical Input Responses for Navy customers, standardizing inspection documents, and using structured problem solving for diesel engine issues. Interns are expected to present to the leadership team, communicate with department staff, and adhere to a safe workplace. The position requires dedication, a highly motivated approach to problem solving, and proficiency in specific software and techniques. Interns will receive a competitive hourly wage, a $1,000 housing/transportation stipend, and additional learning experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening
- Access to reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Working knowledge of diesel engines
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
