Job Summary
Lead site surveys to determine existing facility conditions and develop energy conservation strategies for retro-commissioning projects. Provide technical authority in commissioning phases, review Requests for Proposals, and conduct peer reviews of design documents. Assist the project team with site visits to review progress, troubleshoot equipment installation problems, and optimize complex system upgrades. Collaborate with engineers of record on system optimization, create standards and processes to address execution gaps, and develop training materials for Technical Services staff. Perform duties with minimal supervision while mentoring team members and providing post-implementation operations and maintenance training. Requires a Professional Mechanical Engineering (PE) license and 4-6 years of experience in MEP design, building automation, and energy management. 40%-60% travel required; supports ENFRA's legacy in energy infrastructure and Energy-as-a-Service solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in engineering design, energy management, or retro-commissioning
- Professional Mechanical Engineering (PE) license
- Possesses expert technical knowledge of the subject matter
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and Customer/Client orientation
- Leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor others
- Ability to problem solve and analyze complex systems
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects with competing deadlines
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- 40%-60% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles
- Climbing stairs
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Noisy environment
- Quiet environment
- Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Central Energy Plant (CEP), Healthcare, or Higher Education project experience
- Chilled Water, Heating Water, Steam, and Tower Water system project experience
- Hydronic system distribution project experience
- Building automation, controls, and systems integration project experience
- Test and Balance project experience
- Energy Management project experience
- AutoCAD and REVIT
