Job Summary
Technical Services Engineer at GF leads ownership of customer issues end-to-end, researches, diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves problems following standard escalation procedures; provides technical information, analyses customer complaints, and offers recommendations on manufacturing/technical aspects to improve products and processes. Applies problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma) to determine root causes, and collaborates with R&D for new product development opportunities. Works in a high-volume manufacturing environment; requires strong communication, organizational skills, and hands-on experience in plastics tooling, equipment, and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related technical degree
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Hands on experience in specification and design of plastics tooling, equipment, and automation
- Previous project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies
- Working in manufacturing environments with exposure to machine noise and physical requirements
- Ability to train staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
