Job Summary
Deliver high-quality technical training programs for Caterpillar dealer technicians, end-user customer technicians, and internal service personnel across Australia and New Zealand. Facilitate engaging classroom, workshop, and hands-on learning experiences covering diesel engine systems, electronic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and master mechanic programs. Partner with dealers, customers, and product groups to ensure training remains current and aligned with industry needs. Assess learner competency, gather feedback, and evaluate training effectiveness while supporting strategic capability development initiatives. Requires full-time employment with five days in-office requirement and regular regional and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar engines, machines, power systems, or related equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electronic systems
- Experience working with diesel engines, electronic controls, emissions systems, power train systems, or engine applications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong customer focus and relationship-building capability
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of experience levels
- Willingness to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand, with occasional international travel
- Regular Australia & New Zealand travel
- some international travel required
- Position: Full-Time - 5 days in office requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline
- Previous experience delivering technical training, mentoring, coaching, or workplace instruction
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience working within the Caterpillar dealer network
- Advanced diagnostic and technical specialist certifications
