Job Summary
Commissioning and servicing of Automatic Voltage Regulators and Static Excitation Systems in power plants, including projects up to 1000 MW. Lead and coordinate Associate Commissioning Engineers, oversee commissioning activities to ensure they are completed efficiently and safely. Perform remote services and power-system studies focusing on grid code compliance, contribute to project design reviews, and assist in proposals and claims with cost estimates. Drive continuous improvement, apply automation and digitalization to project delivery, and travel up to 60% to serve clients worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning for the power generation industry or as power system engineer responsible for power system studies
- Excellent English communication skills; German language is an advantage
- Excitement and interest for digitalization of remote service concepts
- Knowledge of power systems simulation tools (PowerFactory and PSS/E), synchronous machines and excitation systems; understanding of control theory, data analysis and information technology
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
- Ability to engage directly with clients and teams worldwide
