Job Summary
Assist and monitor customers on best coating and painting application practices in accordance with company specifications. Troubleshoot customer application issues and advise applicators and supervisors to acquire resolution when conditions deviate from specifications, documenting exceptions in reports. Generate and maintain accurate records of environmental conditions, surface preparation, and coating application data. Attend scheduled inspections to verify specification adherence and perform quality checks on surface preparation and application steps. Participate in the selling process by assisting with product trials. This role involves travelling to customer sites mostly within the Vancouver area and requires a Canadian driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Knows coating application, techniques, and parameters for Marine and/or industrial Coatings
- Must have inspection or practical experience working with coatings in an industrial facility or setting
- AMPP, NACE I, Frosio Inspector III or equivalent
- Good command of the English language: read, spoken and written
- Must have a Canadian driver's license
- Must be able to travel to the USA if required
- Must be able to pass Security Clearance per the Canadian government's 'Controlled Goods Program Security Assessment'
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Shipyard
- 5+ years preferred
