Job Summary
Coordinate internal activities to execute application and new product development projects, including designing and producing prototypes that meet customer specifications. Serve as the technical subject matter expert on Pharma product platforms, guiding customers in portfolio selection and translating technical content to drive projects through commercial stages. Lead application and development projects for assigned customers, present technical information for training events, and identify modified or new product opportunities based on customer needs. Participate in the Stage Gate process for new product development and raw material evaluation. Develop proficiency with application lab equipment and manage assigned day-to-day operations while evolving knowledge of industry segments, trends, and competitors. Work onsite in Geesthacht five days a week with up to 50% domestic and international travel, supported by the German chemical industry's collective agreement.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Food Science, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering or related scientific discipline
- Solid experience in analytical or application lab in a customer facing environment
- Demonstrated ability for time management and task prioritization based on business impact
- Ability to analyze problems and opportunities and provide creative solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English language skills (spoken and written)
- Travel domestically and internationally, if needed, up to 50%
- Need flexibility to accommodate short notice travel occasionally
- Based onsite in Geesthacht (5 days/week)
