Job Summary
Technical Service Estimator to develop estimates and quotations for generator services, HVAC service, preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergency response projects. Responsibilities include reviewing RFQs and specifications, developing detailed scopes of work, supporting pricing strategies, estimating labor/materials/subcontractors, and preparing customer-facing proposals with scopes, pricing, exclusions, schedules, assumptions, safety considerations, and terms. Requires collaboration with service managers, dispatch, technicians, rental operations, procurement, and project management; site visits and technical data gathering as needed. Qualifications emphasize mechanical/electrical aptitude, proficiency with Excel and estimating tools, and ability to read blueprints and technical documentation. Location is Houston, TX with local travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in service estimating, power generation, HVAC service, mechanical contracting, industrial services, or a related field preferred.
