Job Summary
Manage and schedule engineering work to maximise productivity by assessing and prioritising customer requests, allocating appropriate resources, and monitoring job progress for timely completion. Open and close work orders while supporting billing accuracy and ensuring all jobs are scoped, prioritised, and completed to a high standard. Lead, coach, and support a team of four to eight engineers, acting as the technical link between engineers and the control team to interpret issues and define required works. Maintain strong customer communication and service standards while mentoring staff and ensuring service processes are followed. This role requires a background in plant, agricultural, or HGV engineering with at least three years of technical experience. The position offers a competitive salary plus annual bonus, 25 days holiday, pension, and healthcare benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Background in plant, agricultural, or HGV engineering
- Gas & Diesel Engine product knowledge
- Good knowledge of mobile and fixed equipment components and systems
- Understanding of warranty and commissioning processes
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical issues and support non-technical teams
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Foundational Engineering understanding and qualification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical or mechanical engineering role (C&G / NVQ Apprenticeship)
- Hours – 41.5. Flexible working pattern between 7am – 6pm weekdays, with a potential for Saturday if required
