Job Summary
Technical Security Instructor Level I to train individuals overseas in installation and maintenance of security systems including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, electromagnetic door locks, vehicle barriers, and other equipment in sensitive areas (e.g., US embassies/consulates). Delivers training using established curricula, prepares classrooms and materials, sets up audiovisual equipment, maintains trainee records, and applies Department of State security standards to protect information. Hybrid work arrangement in Springfield, VA, with occasional onsite training; must hold (or obtain) a Secret Clearance and possess a valid driver’s license. Proficiency in explaining advanced technical concepts to trainees and delivering briefings to diverse audiences is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
- 1-2 years of formal education toward a degree or equivalent technical training
- Experience in public speaking and briefings is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive official US government vehicle
