Job Summary
Technical Sales Support III acts as the initial technical resource for internal sales teams, distributors, and end users; manages escalated technical support calls; specifies product fit for use; reviews applications and coordinates with Engineering for product customization; configures combinations of standard accessories and controllers; defines parts and assembly requirements; troubleshoots equipment issues by phone and on-site with customers; conducts discovery calls and site visits with the ASM to capture technical constraints; reviews CAD drawings, performs project management with ASM and Systemhaus, builds technical presentations and demonstrations, and provides post-sales support. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering (or equivalent), 7+ years in manufacturing-related customer service, proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office/SAP/CAD, strong communication and presentation skills, and up to 50% travel. Location: Huntersville, NC; full-time role with on-site responsibilities and customer-facing travel.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of customer service or inside experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office
- Proficient in SAP
- Proficient in CAD or other 3D model system
- Must have a deep understanding of Process Flow and System Integrations
- Up to 50% Travel to trade shows, customers, distributors
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
- Ability to preform fine hand manipulation (keyboard)
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours and stand/walk/bend/lift up to 50 pounds for up to 5 hours
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Project management duties with ASM and Systemhaus
- Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations
- Provide post-sales customer support on customer sites as needed
