Job Summary
Senior Technical Sales Engineer for Channel Whitespace in Texas, serving as the primary technical subject matter expert for facilities-level infrastructure (power distribution, cooling, UPS, rPDU, KVM, and remote management). This remote-first role requires travel within Texas and involves providing deep technical validation of Vertiv solutions, delivering technical presentations, and tailoring RFP responses to highlight integration of power, cooling, and management in data-center facilities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and 4–8 years of experience in critical infrastructure or data-center facilities, with proficiency in DCIM, SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, KVM, and remote management technologies. Must be able to navigate industrial environments, perform site technical audits, and support deployment/configuration of monitoring software to ensure high availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4–8 years of experience specifically within the critical infrastructure or data center facilities industry
- Mastery of power chain fundamentals, including Ohm’s law, three-phase power calculation, and power distribution (rPDU and UPS)
- Strong technical background in thermal management, including data center cooling architectures and containment strategies
- Proficiency with monitoring software and DCIM tools
- KVM and serial console technologies expertise
- SNMP, Modbus, BACnet familiarity
- Ability to tailor technical solutions for stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 50% in-state
