Job Summary
Technical Sales Specialist for Sample Prep-based life science solutions. You will represent the Magnetic Bead and Sample Preparation portfolios to academic, diagnostic, government, biotechnology/pharmaceutical, and hospital/clinical customers. Responsibilities include building relationships across multiple levels, delivering technical demonstrations of molecular biology instrumentation, understanding competitive landscape, developing and updating territory plans, achieving sales goals through field visits, calls, and demonstrations, nurturing existing customer relationships to increase revenue and reagent attachment, researching accounts and leveraging market data to drive new business, collaborating with sales partners and distribution reps, gathering competitive intelligence, and providing forecasts and reports. The role supports remote-work patterns with substantial travel (50-75%) and is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Life Science Solutions Group – Biosciences Division, GWA Sample Prep, covering NY, PA, NJ, MD, and DE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any life science field
- 3+ years' technical sales experience in life science or related field (preferred)
- hands-on experience with sample prep lab techniques
- 5 years of work-related experience (as applicable)
- excellent presentation and communication skills
- ability to travel 50-75%

- ability to develop territory business plans
- ability to build credibility with customers and cross-functional teams
