Job Summary
Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) responsible for selling and supporting Thermo Fisher CMD instrument and consumables across the Upper Midwest. Manages from prospecting to closing, builds trusted advisor relationships with major decision makers, and collaborates with Account Managers to uncover opportunities. Drives revenue growth through strategic sales activities, product introductions, and effective use of sales tools; provides technical leadership and coordinates cross-functional resources (sales, field/applications, R&D) to advance solutions. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred), 5+ years of analytical instrumentation sales experience, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to travel up to 80% (overnight travel), and fluency in English; emphasizes value proposition, customer-centric strategies, and knowledge-based engagement with customers and key opinion leaders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years consistent track record of sales experience in analytical/relevant instrument market and running complex, high-value accounts
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters’ degree preferred in science
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel to customer locations up to 80% including overnight travel
- Fluent in English and other languages as needed for region
