Job Summary

Technical Sales Specialist role focused on Explosion Protection Equipment (EPE) and engineered enclosure solutions for India’s process automation and hazardous area industries. Drive regional growth by expanding opportunities with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and end-users; deliver technical consultations, product demonstrations, and RFQ support; collaborate with engineering, proposal, and sales teams to ensure fast RFQ responses and customer satisfaction; lead negotiations to improve regional order win rates; build strategic accounts and support international projects managed by India-based EPCs and package vendors. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 4–8 years of technical sales experience in hazardous area equipment, with strong knowledge of explosion protection concepts (Ex d/Ex e/Ex i/Ex p/Ex t) and related standards (ATEX, IECEx, PESO, BIS). Proficiency in electrical components (Junction Boxes, LCS, Distribution Boards, Control Panels, Signalling Equipment, Cable Glands) and a proven track record of expanding market coverage in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Refineries, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, and Offshore sectors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 4–8 years of technical sales experience within hazardous area equipment, explosion protection systems, industrial automation, control panels, or customised enclosure solutions
  • Strong knowledge of explosion protection concepts and certification methodologies (Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, Ex p, Ex t)
  • Understanding of electrical products such as Junction Boxes, Local Control Stations (LCS), Distribution Boards, Control Panels, Signalling Equipment, Cable Glands
  • Familiarity with standards/certifications including ATEX, IECEx, PESO, BIS; knowledge of materials like Stainless Steel, Cast Aluminium, GRP enclosures
  • Established network with EPC contractors, OEMs, and process industry end-users across the region
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, strong communication and presentation skills, proven track record of winning projects, developing new accounts, and exceeding sales targets
