Job Summary
The Technical Sales Representative for Industrial Metrology products will develop sales opportunities and nurture leads through direct end users, distributors, and OEMs. Responsibilities include selling advanced metrology solutions, building and maintaining relationships with clients, collaborating with internal teams, providing technical guidance, and effectively managing an independent schedule to meet sales goals. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 2+ years of relevant sales experience, strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, and eligibility to access ITAR controlled data. Overnight travel within the assigned region up to 75% is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology equivalent or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of Sales experience in machining/metal cutting products or similar industry via work experience or internship.
- Strong professional communication and presentation skills with proven ability as an effective closer.
- Innovative approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a results-based environment.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as experience in using CRM software.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable automobile transportation and current auto insurance.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous outside sales experience with manufactured equipment is preferred.
- Technical training in metrology, CNC machining or programming.
- CAD/CAM experience with ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Additional Requirements
