Job Summary
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for meeting assigned revenue, margin, and product mix objectives through managing key accounts within the Houston territory. The role involves working with architects, designers, contractors, and end-users to secure new business and drive product specifications. Essential duties include achieving sales goals, managing account relationships, preparing strategic plans, delivering presentations, collaborating on product training, and leveraging technology for productivity. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, have a strong background in construction, and demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of construction or industry experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to understand and manage emotions in challenging situations
Desired Qualifications
- Salesforce.com or other CRM software experience preferred
- Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
