Job Summary
Technical Sales Representative role focusing on complex motion control solutions, combining technical expertise with sales acumen to promote Evolution’s products for hydraulic, electrical, automation, pneumatic, and lubrication applications. Responsibilities include engaging customers to determine needs, delivering technically sound sales presentations, providing pre-sales technical support, collaborating with supplier partners, maintaining accurate records, achieving sales targets, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Requires in-depth product knowledge, the ability to translate technical concepts for engineers and designers, independent work capability, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel is required (1,500 miles or more per month). The position is based out of the Auburn Hills, MI facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is desired but not required
- High school diploma or GED certification is required
- Proven track record in sales, especially in selling technical products or services
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts to product lines
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with engineers and technical designers to determine and deliver appropriate customer solutions
- Ability and desire to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to persuade and influence others through excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Aptitude to negotiate and close deals, understanding both the technical and business aspects of the sales process
- Intermediate ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
