Job Summary
Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting RheoSense products and services across an East Coast territory with home base in NJ or PA. Responsibilities include being an enthusiastic promoter, reaching established KPIs, managing customers in assigned territories, delivering product demonstrations and sales presentations, accurately forecasting and reporting revenue streams (monthly, quarterly, annually), identifying new clients and markets to maximize customer potential, and diligently updating CRM. Requires strong technical aptitude to learn products, applications, and services, cross-selling capabilities, excellent communication skills, ability to influence decision-makers, willingness to travel, and a valid driver’s license. Familiarity with Viscometry/Rheometry and public speaking are a plus; the role offers an OTE with base, commission, and bonus structure and does not include relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- BA, MS, or Ph.D. Degree in Engineering or Life Science discipline is preferred
- 2 - 5 years of customer-facing, instrumentation sales, or related industry sales experience
- Must have the technical ability to learn products, applications, and services
- Proven experience in cross-selling and competence in lead generation, sales negotiation, and closing techniques
- Ability to influence decision-makers at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and familiar with CRM platforms
- Customer-focused: fast, accurate response to customer questions and needs
- Excellent communication skills: read and analyze documents, present information to team and management
- Ability to travel at any time, to support customers
- A valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Experience with Viscometry or Rheometry is a strong plus
- Public speaking ability
