Job Summary
Technical Sales Manager responsible for representing Multimatic’s Global Manufacturing and Engineering centers as the key customer interface, leading commercial discussions and quote proposals, pursuing new business opportunities, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. The role requires strong technical engineering expertise, automotive industry experience, ability to travel internationally, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to customer relations. Responsible for developing technical review presentations for new opportunities, participating in open issues meetings with global facilities and automotive manufacturers, and contributing strategic direction to improve profitability and operational proficiency. Must be able to travel internationally and work on-site five days a week.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited University is required
- Automotive Industry experience (10 years) in technical sales at a Tier-1 supplier or equivalent
- Understanding of Automotive OEM processes, systems, and products
- Solutions-based customer relations approach with clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and valid documentation to travel internationally for customer visits to our technical center for engineering review, manufacturing site visits, and launch support activities
- Passion, entrepreneurial mindset, and perseverance to achieve business plan objectives as outlined by the company
- Experience with Automotive Suspension systems
- Experience with engineering disciplines: GD&T, DFMEA, PPAP/PSW, QOS, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- CAD expertise is beneficial
- Travel Requirements up to 10% domestic and international
- Work environment includes on-site 5 days a week
- Multimatic is a Canadian-based employer; ability to legally travel to Canada for meetings/training
