Job Summary
Conduct technical sales for industrial water treatment chemicals to boiler and cooling tower customers across the Chicagoland area. Maintain the existing customer base and make cold calls to develop new business. Run chemical tests to analyze water and document results. Interact and fix mechanical equipment such as pumps, tubing, piping and valves. Program electronic equipment such as cooling tower chemical controllers. This role requires a four-year technical degree and three years of technical sales experience. Compensation includes $90,000 to $120,000 plus unlimited no-cap commission. Work out of your home anywhere in the greater Chicagoland area.
Required Qualifications
- at least a four year technical degree
- Advanced degrees
- Military equivalent, such as Navy Nuclear Propulsion, or Army CBRN School
- technical degree such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology or Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years technical sales related to water treatment chemicals
- Selling to a variety of industrial customers
- CWT
- Knowledge of the Chicago industrial marketplace
Desired Qualifications
- Selling to a variety of industrial customers is preferred
- CWT is preferred
- Knowledge of the Chicago industrial marketplace is preferred
- Military and mechanical backgrounds
