Job Summary
Technical Sales Engineer Integrated Photonics – provide pre- and post-sales technical support, translate customer needs into workable PIC solutions, define statements of work with customers and partners, conduct proof-of-concept PIC design studies and layouts, manage the sales pipeline and act as the primary customer interface, collaborate with Engineering/R&D to tailor solutions, contribute to marketing strategy and market intelligence, and work in a flexible, international environment in Lausanne, Switzerland. Requires strong customer- and solution-oriented mindset, 3+ years in integrated optics (or PhD), and demonstrated ability to meet technical sales targets; English proficiency and cross-team collaboration are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Highly customer and solution-oriented mindset
- 3+ years hands on experience in integrated optics or PhD in integrated optics
- Industry experience of 3+ years in technical sales, application engineering or similar role is a big plus
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets in technical environment is a plus
- Previous customer interaction is a plus
- Ability to translate customer needs to clear specifications
- Hands-on experience with integrated photonics software tools is a plus
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills
- Open minded, communicative, critical, and innovative
- Flexible in working on different tasks and with different teams
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Working proficiency in English
