Job Summary
Co-op Technical Sales Representative will support the sales team in expanding Powerex’s presence in medical piped equipment and laboratory markets. The role provides hands-on exposure to consultative, relationship-driven technical sales by working alongside experienced sales professionals, design engineers, distributor partners, and end users. Responsibilities include territory management, customer support, product education, market development activities, participating in customer visits and sales calls, assisting with training materials and presentations, conducting market research and competitive analysis, maintaining opportunity data in CRM, and learning industry regulations (NFPA 99). Travel is required with expenses reimbursed. The program offers real-world experience in technical, consultative sales, exposure to engineering-driven products, mentorship from sales and engineering professionals, and skill development in communication, customer-facing, and business abilities. Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a BS/BA degree (Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred)
- Interest in technical or consultative sales and engineering-driven products
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to interact professionally with engineers, contractors, and customers
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM exposure is a plus
