Technical Revenue Accounting Lead

Job Summary
Provide technical accounting guidance on non-standard revenue transactions, including partnership agreements and complex subscription structures. Evaluate revenue implications of new products and pricing models, then develop, document, and maintain revenue recognition policies and playbooks. Support month-end close processes, coordinate with external auditors, and help implement revenue systems to improve accuracy and scalability. Design internal controls over revenue in support of audit and SOX readiness, and assist with ad hoc financial reporting requests. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Product to advise on commercial arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in public accounting and at a high-growth technology company, with an emphasis in technical accounting
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and demonstrated experience applying guidance to non-standard contracts, including ASC 340-40 (costs to obtain a contract)
- Demonstrated ability to write clear technical accounting memos. Can research guidance, state a position, and defend the conclusion
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Product in a fast-moving environment
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and comfort operating amid ambiguity
- Experience with Netsuite and Netsuite ARM (or similar)
