Job Summary
Technical Publications Manager leading a team of technical writers, illustrators, and documentation specialists in Brantford, Ontario. Responsible for modernizing documentation standards, workflows, and publishing methods; overseeing operator and service manuals, parts catalogs, machine labeling artwork, safety information, and digital content; collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, service, and product support to ensure documentation integrity; refining content management systems and illustration software; delivering high-quality, compliant documentation across the full product range; driving improvements in documentation processes and delivery formats, including digital and interactive content; managing timelines and resources in a dynamic, multi-project environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, or technical communications
- Demonstrated leadership experience guiding teams or projects
- Strong communication, coaching, and change management skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical or industrial equipment, with the ability to interpret engineering information
- Proficiency with modern documentation tools, platforms, and illustration applications (Paligo CMS, Adobe InDesign, SolidWorks Composer is a plus)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage competing deadlines and adapt to evolving product requirements
- Clear communication skills and a systematic, solution-oriented mindset
