Job Summary
Lead and manage a staff of technical writers to deliver accurate, updated, and easy-to-understand documentation on Anduril products, including technical manuals, operational manuals, maintenance manuals, procedures, checklists, templates, user guides, troubleshooting guides, and release notes. Partner with engineers, operations, and subject matter experts to understand products and user workflows, drive knowledge capture, and close gaps. Develop and enforce documentation standards, lifecycle processes, and tooling, including experience with authoring tools (e.g., RapidAuthor, Arbortext) and style guidelines. Own delivery quality and timelines, provide status metrics to leadership, and cultivate a culture of high-quality, user-focused documentation that supports defense and national security missions. Preference for experience with DoD/MIL-STDs (e.g., S1000D) and aerospace/defense documentation. Requires 5+ years of relevant experience and eligibility for Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation
- Experience building content in a variety of content authoring tools including word editors and specialized authoring software (e.g. RapidAuthor, Arbortext)
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on technical subjects
- Must thrive with autonomy and responsibility, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Impeccable project-management skills
- Passion for excellent documentation and user experience
- Must be eligible for Secret and higher security clearance (US)
