Job Summary
Write assigned proposal sections in accordance with the schedule, compliance matrix, and allocated page count. Review RFPs, amendments, and Q&As to ensure clear understanding and incorporate necessary changes. Help prepare annotated outlines and formulate graphics to support written content while integrating win strategies and proposal lenses. Collaborate with SMEs, the Capture Manager, and functional departments to develop data calls and adjudicate reviewer comments. Maintain version control throughout the RFP response lifecycle and attend daily standup progress reviews. This on-site role at Fair Lakes, VA requires 6+ years of experience and involves working extended hours to meet dynamically changing needs and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field
- 4 years relevant experience with Master's in related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
- In-depth understanding of compliance with all sections of governmental RFPs
- Experience analyzing RFPs
- Experience creating annotated outlines
- Experience writing new material
- Experience editing written material
- Experience producing high-quality proposals under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly developed word processing skills, especially with Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of graphics and desktop software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint or other proposal collaboration software
- Flexible and open to changing schedules and priorities
- Able and willing to work extended hours to meet dynamically changing needs and delivery schedules
- Ability to Obtain Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- BA degree (in professional writing or English literature)
- 3+ years of continuous proposal writing experience for large bid efforts in the areas of management approaches, past performance and experience, quality plans, staffing plans, transition plans, and resumes
- TS clearance
