Job Summary
Review solicitations to extract requirements and compliance criteria, then coordinate with subject-matter experts to gather technical and budgetary information. Draft, edit, and finalize proposal sections including technical approaches, system architectures, and executive summaries, ensuring adherence to formatting, templates, and submission guidelines. Assemble full proposal packages, maintain a reusable content library, and manage deadlines through review cycles and final approvals. This role supports Ariel Partners in solving difficult technology challenges by translating complex solutions into persuasive narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical writing, proposal writing, or business-development documentation
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
- Proven ability to write persuasive technical content
- Ability to read architectural diagrams or code snippets (JSON, Python, or Java)
- Ability to comprehend and distill complex technical information into clear, concise, persuasive language for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with common authoring tools: MS Word, PowerPoint, content management/proposal-management software
- Strong understanding of proposal development processes (Shipley, APMP, or similar methodologies)
- Strong writing, grammar, editing, proofreading, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and project-coordination skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, engage with SMEs, and manage feedback/iterations in the proposal process
