Job Summary
Plan and oversee multiple technology projects, ensuring alignment with overall timelines while managing dependencies, budgets, and resource allocation. Develop comprehensive project plans and lead cross-functional teams including engineers, QA, and technical staff. Facilitate ceremonies such as backlog refinement, leverage Agile and SAFe methodologies to increase throughput, and maintain strict adherence to PMO governance. Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and communicate status reports to stakeholders, management, and clients to ensure goals are met. Maintain project documentation and continuously improve management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant experience
- 11-15 years including 7+ years relevant experience in managing technology projects of increasing complexity
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices including Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Experience working with agile methodologies, including Scrum as well as mentoring and upskilling teams in agile methodologies
- Experience working with project management tools, such as Jira and Airtable
- Experience working with technical teams, including software engineers and quality analysts
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and software development methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the Life Insurance and Annuity Industry - Preferred
- Scrum, SAFe, PMP or other project management certifications are a plus - Preferred
