Job Summary
Support projects from planning through execution by creating technical drawings in Vectorworks/CAD, coordinating power and data systems, and overseeing rigging concepts including trussing and motors. Plan and coordinate internal trades, service providers, and external partners while advising stakeholders on technical solutions. Ensure clear documentation of specifications and timelines, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and identify technical challenges throughout all phases. Requires at least three years of experience in event production and technical planning, with a Master of Event Technology degree. Full-time role based in Berlin with international travel and on-call availability. Join a team specializing in kinetic lighting and innovative installations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in event production, technical planning and project management
- Background in event technology or a comparable technical field
- A completed qualification as a Master of Event Technology (Meister für Veranstaltungstechnik) or a comparable degree
- Strong knowledge of Vectorworks / CAD tools (technical drawings and 3D planning)
- Strong knowledge of Power and data distribution systems
- Strong knowledge of Rigging, trussing, and motorized systems (e.g. chain hoists)
- Good understanding of complex technical systems, lighting control (e.g. GrandMA), and basic audio knowledge
- Experience working with different fixture types, integrated technologies, and networks
- Experience in international projects or productions
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to support on-site
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Very good English skills
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards (e.g. BGV C1, VStättVO, etc.)
- German language skills
- Willingness to travel depending on project requirements
