Job Summary
Manage multiple concurrent small to mid-sized application development projects and ongoing operations, defining scope, objectives, and detailed work plans while directing a matrixed team of up to 20 developers and business analysts. Interface with clients to determine requirements, prepare periodic progress reports, and serve as the single point of contact for all project aspects from concept through final implementation. Lead technical direction through design, implementation, and testing, ensuring adherence to quality standards and managing vendor tasks and deliverables. Conduct project meetings, track progress, and provide analytical guidance to the team while supervising personnel and supporting new business development through proposal leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA
- Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA
- Minimum of 3 years with PhD
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Experience managing project deadlines
- Experience tracking progress of projects
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional Certification PMP a Plus
- DOD Position of Trust or above(Interim Secret or Secret)
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
- Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of Project Management practices and the Software Development Life Cycle
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work closely and develop strong business relations with clients, project team members and other stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Proven ability to use MS Project to manage projects
- Familiarity with tools: JIRA, MS Project, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
