Job Summary

Technical Project Manager role in Grande Prairie, AB (or surrounding area) focusing on environmental project management across multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of simple to moderately complex project scopes, schedules and budgets; coordinating with internal project teams; communicating with client program management and subcontractors; preparing technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates; preparing sub-contractor RFPs and evaluating proposals; generating technical reports with a primary focus on regulatory submissions (Record of Site Conditions, ESA-related reports, and remediation/reclamation documentation); mentoring junior staff; leveraging regulatory knowledge (ALBERTA) and tools like OneStop; and utilizing Workday for related processes. Requires a degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or engineering, at least six years of environmental consulting experience with two years in PM, and eligibility for professional registration. Strong communication, leadership, and cost-estimation capabilities are essential; valid Class 5 driver’s license is required. Required Qualifications

  • A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or engineering
  • A minimum of six (6) years previous environmental consulting experience with a minimum of two (2) years of direct project management experience
  • Eligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization (e.g. AIA, ASET, APEGA)
  • Experience with estimating costs and leading site assessment and remediation programs in the oil & gas industry
  • Experience writing technical reports including ESAs, RMPs, RAPs, etc.
  • Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior and intermediate professionals
  • Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator’s OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada is also an asset
  • Experience with Workday software would be an asset
  • A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions
