Job Summary
Technical Project Manager responsible for directing and coordinating projects from initiation through completion, ensuring customer requirements are met and objectives are achieved. Lead Agile-based delivery, develop and manage project artifacts (charter, management plan, baselines, sub-plans), coordinate with product owners and stakeholders, track progress and risks, manage changes with formal change control, and drive continuous improvement (including aligning with CMMI concepts). The role requires overseeing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, ensuring quality deliverables, and obtaining formal acceptance from customers and sponsors. The position is currently remote with potential on-site requirements in Washington, D.C. and involves collaboration across business analysts, technical writers, and development teams.
Required Qualifications
- Active Project Management Professional certification (PMP) from PMI
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
- 7 years of experience
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Experience leading development teams
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (Confluence, Jira, Kanban)
- Ability to develop project management artifacts (plans, schedules, WBS, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication, cross-cultural communication, and emotional intelligence
