Job Summary
Technical Project Manager for Interactive Response Technology (IRT/RTSM) focused on leading end-to-end planning, design, and implementation of technical projects within clinical trials. Oversees configuration activities (requirements, functional specs, testing/UAT, deployment readiness), manages integrations between IRT and systems like EDC/CTMS/ePRO/eCOA, coordinates with vendors for build, validation, and ongoing maintenance, tracks timelines and budgets, and ensures compliance with GxP and 21 CFR Part 11. Facilitates clear communication between technical teams, clinical stakeholders, and leadership, and drives continuous improvement of IRT delivery processes and integration frameworks. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of project management experience in a technical/clinical research setting, with hands-on experience in IRT/RTSM systems and cross-system data flows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Life Sciences, Project Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years of project management experience in a technical environment
- Experience with IRT/RTSM systems in clinical trials (implementation, configuration oversight, vendor management)
- Familiarity with clinical trial system integrations (IRT–EDC, IRT–CTMS) and data flows
- Understanding of clinical trial processes (randomization, drug supply management, patient tracking)
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in clinical systems (preferred)
