Technical Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage environmental and capital projects by planning, directing, and coordinating engineering, improvement, and construction work at the Stoney Creek Regional Facility, including issuing RFPs and reviewing submissions. Plan and control project budgets and schedules while supervising consultants and contractors to ensure delivery. Provide technical support for operations by assisting the general manager, monitoring key performance indicators, and developing business cases for new projects. Liaise with local, regional, and provincial regulators to oversee permit applications and produce required reports. Support five-year and annual budget processes by developing capital estimates and financial metrics. Engage external consultants and internal subject matter experts to deliver technical support for continuous operations excellence and compliance. This hybrid role supports the Ontario Solid Waste Team and Eastern Canada Solids operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in civil engineering, chemical engineering, water engineering, environmental engineering, mining engineering, or equivalent experience in a field relevant to the function
  • Minimum of 5-7 years (greater experience is an asset) of experience working in a field relevant to the function, in project management and personnel management
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the field of the environment and waste management
  • A valid G driver's license, and access to a vehicle
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
  • Valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located
