Job Summary

Manage and ensure timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects by establishing requirements, defining deliverables, budgets, and schedules, and overseeing team execution from initiation to completion. Produce specific work products for Line-Item Projects Project Controls programs while developing processes to meet programmatic needs. Conduct cost analysis, control, and planning for projects with significant non-routine requirements, identifying cost trends for management attention. Support project scheduling using Primavera P6 and cost management using Cobra and EVMS processes. Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business domains to align solutions with project objectives. Ensure work completion as scheduled while providing innovative solutions to cost and schedule guidance. Requires U.S. citizenship, DOE security clearance, and advanced proficiency in Excel, Primavera P6, and Cobra.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Primavera P6, and Cobra
  • Demonstrated initiative and independence—able to take a concept from idea to delivered product without heavy direction
  • Strong communication skills across both technical and business contexts
  • Experience in project controls within DOE/NNSA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred
  • Previous DOE/NNSA work experience
  • Knowledge of LANL Project Controls procedures, policies, and processes, and DOE O 413.3B EVMS requirements highly desirable
