Job Summary
Manage discrete technical construction projects from initiation through turnover, defining scope, budgets, schedules, and risks while leading project teams in planning and execution. Administer work organized through control accounts and work packages, ensuring compliance with client contracts, NNSA expectations, and DOE Order 413.3B. Develop policies and standards for construction execution within nuclear facilities, coordinating activities with engineering, operations, and safety organizations. Monitor performance, mitigate technical risks, and provide guidance to personnel and subcontractors. Ensure adherence to NQA-1, safety, security, and quality requirements while supporting testing, commissioning, and project closeout. Prepare status reports and executive communications. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of DOE/NNSA nuclear construction experience, and an active Q Clearance. 4/10 onsite schedule in Los Alamos.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and five (5) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Recent experience supporting construction, demolition and decommissioning (D&D), testing, and turnover activities within DOE or NNSA nuclear facilities
- Experience managing technical construction work in DOE Hazard Category 2 nuclear facilities or similarly regulated environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOE Order 413.3B project management requirements
- Experience working under Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1) requirements
- Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risk, and technical deliverables
- Experience coordinating work between construction, operations, engineering, radiological control, nuclear safety, criticality safety, occupational safety, and other support organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience operating within highly controlled nuclear security and classified environments
- United States Citizenship
- Active DOE Q Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Prior construction management or technical project management experience supporting DOE or NNSA laboratory projects
- Experience supporting active construction, facility modifications, testing, commissioning, and project turnover
- Experience with work planning, work control, and integrated project execution
- Demonstrated success coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines
