Job Summary
Technical Project Lead / Project Engineer responsible for technical delivery and oversight of multidisciplinary civil design projects across energy and infrastructure. Lead day-to-day technical oversight across civil and infrastructure design projects, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs (civil, structural, surveying), ensure design outputs are compliant and integrated, support scope/programme/deliverables, and act as a key technical interface with clients, consultants, and contractors. Role emphasizes governance, design coordination, QA procedures, construction support, NEC contract coordination where applicable, mentorship of junior engineers, and driving improvements in processes and documentation; requires client-facing capability and the ability to attend the Oxford office.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in team leadership
- Proven client-facing experience and stakeholder management
- Experience in contractor oversight, site inspection, or client representative / Clerk of Works roles
- Strong ability to interpret technical standards (BS EN, building regulations, technical guidance)
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, technical)
- High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistently high-quality outputs
- Capability to mentor, lead and support technical teams
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to regularly attend the Oxford office
