Job Summary
Technical Project Lead to oversee technical delivery and project coordination across a range of complex commercial, industrial, and public-sector projects in Western Canada. Responsibilities include leading design development, construction documentation, construction administration, coordinating between internal architectural teams and external consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical, civil), reviewing drawings for quality and constructability, mentoring technologists and interns, coordinating BIM workflows, ensuring project schedules and deliverables, supporting RFIs and submittals, and maintaining stakeholder communication. Requires 10+ years in architecture, strong Revit/BIM proficiency, formal Architectural Technology diploma/degree, experience with public sector projects, and ability to lead technical teams across remote and national project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Architectural Technology diploma or degree from an accredited institution
- 10+ years of professional experience within architecture firms
- Strong technical experience across all project phases with a focus on documentation and construction delivery
- Demonstrated project experience in commercial and industrial architecture
- Experience working on public sector projects is considered an asset
- Strong consultant coordination and technical detailing experience
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM based workflows
- Excellent understanding of building systems, construction detailing, and constructability
- Strong knowledge of BC Building Code and local municipal approval processes
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with remote project teams
- Experience mentoring and guiding intermediate technologists and production staff
- Interest in contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s Western Canadian presence
