Job Summary
Own program schedule, budget, risk register, and deliverables across counter-UAS and kinetic effector programs while serving as the primary customer POC for status updates and technical interchange meetings. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and supply chain dependencies against milestones, and prepare internal and customer-facing reviews including CDRLs and risk mitigation plans. Partner with engineering leads on system architecture and design maturity, translating technical realities into schedule and cost impact assessments. Ensure execution aligns with ITAR, EAR, CMMC, and DFARS requirements while driving requirements management and verification planning. This role supports proposal development and captures realistic technical inputs for DoD acquisition processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in defense program management, systems engineering, or a hybrid PM/engineering role
- Demonstrated experience managing hardware development programs (not pure software/IT)
- Working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, CDRLs, and contract types
- Ability to read and engage with engineering drawings, test data, and technical requirements documents
- U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with counter-UAS, munitions, kinetic effectors, or related weapons systems programs
- PMP or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with CMMC Level 2 requirements and FFL/FEL-regulated environments
- Prior startup or small-defense-contractor experience (comfort with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats)
